Before You Clock In: General Assembly

February 10, 2026

As third-year students prepare to begin their internships, many wonder how classroom learning connects to real-world workplace expectations. Without proper guidance, the idea of internship can feel overwhelming, students may be unsure about requirements, processes, and how to act in a professional setting.

To bridge this gap, iACADEMY presents Before You Clock In: General Assembly, an orientation that prepares third-year incoming intern students for their internship program. The session explains the program’s goals, structure, and timelines in a clear and student-friendly way. It also introduces Internship Readiness activities, helping students understand what they will do and why each step matters.

More than a simple orientation, it includes negotiation skills, and workplace expectations discussions. Truly, the General Assembly is a preparation platform. Students are encouraged to create draft timelines, set target achievements, and connect their goals with Internship Readiness activities leading to their immersion. This approach makes preparation purposeful, trackable, and aligned with industry standards.

Through this initiative, iACADEMY continues to guide students toward becoming future-ready learners. By promoting the values of the school helps shape Passionate Leaders and Relentless Achievers, students who are ready not only to enter the workforce, but to grow, excel, and go Beyond Better.
