January 13, 2026

iACADEMY proudly celebrates a significant achievement as a short film project developed by its Cebu campus advances as a national finalist in the Puregold CinePanalo Shorts category, selected from hundreds of submissions across the country.

The project is anchored on an original script written by iACADEMY Cebu faculty member Ms. Faith Aragon, whose work earned a place among the festival’s shortlisted project. Bringing the story to life is AB Multimedia Arts and Design student Maxine dela Bajan, who is set to direct the film, marking a strong collaboration between faculty expertise and student creativity.

Puregold CinePanalo is a national film festival recognized for championing Filipino storytelling rooted in culture, social realities, and creative excellence. Reaching the finalist stage signals a major milestone in the rigorous selection process and places iACADEMY alongside top universities and film institutions nationwide.

This recognition reflects iACADEMY’s practice-based learning model, where mentorship extends beyond the classroom and into real-world creative platforms. By fostering faculty-student collaboration, iACADEMY continues to produce storytellers who are equipped to compete, and thrive, on a national stage.

As the festival journey continues, iACADEMY remains committed to shaping game changers who create stories that go Beyond Better.
