CTRL Dance Troupe: Moving Beyond Better Through Artistry, Discipline, and Heart

CTRL Dance Troupe, iACADEMY’s official Senior High School dance organization, continues to champion artistic expression and student leadership through movement. First formed in 2015 as iDance and later reintroduced as CTRL, the troupe proudly carries the tagline “CTRL the Movement & Escape Reality,” reflecting its commitment to creativity, collaboration, and performance excellence. As a home for passionate young dancers, CTRL serves as a platform to explore diverse styles, build technical mastery, and deliver showcases that inspire both the school community and wider audiences.
Since its founding, CTRL has become a staple in major iACADEMY events such as SOAR, ORG-DRIVE, and Foundation Week, consistently elevating student events with dynamic and meticulously crafted performances. The organization stands firmly on the values of discipline, creativity, and unity, core principles that shape its vision of creating a supportive space where aspiring dancers can grow, learn, and thrive. Beyond perfecting choreography, CTRL places equal importance on character development, ensuring its members embody respect, passion, and professionalism both on and off the stage.
At its core, CTRL is more than a troupe. It is a creative circle where movement evolves into a language of self-expression, camaraderie, and identity. Every member is encouraged to embrace their individuality while contributing to a collective spirit that demonstrates what it means to go beyond better. Through rigorous training, collaborative culture, and opportunities to showcase their craft, CTRL Dance Troupe continues to cultivate confident performers and responsible student-artists who represent the heart of iACADEMY SHS.
As CTRL steps into another year of artistry and purpose, the organization remains committed to shaping dancers who move with intention, lead with character, and create with passion, one performance at a time.
